I always enjoy the beginning of the year when everyone releases their selected color. The color. The one and only color that is to lead the trend and define the entire year.
While neutrals in general have been trending on the cooler side as of the last few years with grey tones, they seem to be warming up in 2017 according to Sherwin-Williams. Sherwin-Williams defines Poised Taupe, as a beautiful balance of warm and cool. It is both modern and classic. Here are a few pictures Sherwin-Williams posted to showcase Poised Taupe.

Ugh. Can you believe how fast time goes sometimes?!? Clichque, I know. The minute hand on the clock hasn't picked up it's pace, but it sure does feel like it at times. 2017 is (already) here, so let's fill it with creativity, inspiration and make it beautiful! And mostly, try to keep up with the clock and enjoy all those minutes!
Fourth of July is always a fun time. It makes me dream that Summer is here and will never leave. The feeling of warm morning runs, sun until 9:30pm, lakeside adventures, BBQ's, delicious garden grow salads. It just warms my soul! I thought it would be fun to share one of my favorite summer salads, that I have planned for my Fourth of July BBQ and some great entertainment ideas to go with it! Here are a few of my favorite outdoor dinner/picnic-ware items that seems fitting for the season. Throw all this on a picnic table with a simple piece of burlap fabric and you are good to go. I love renovations, seeing a warehouse that was once for manufacturing clothes turn into someone's unbelievable loft. Or just an 1800/early 1900-century home, restored for another family to continue to laugh and make memories in.
Being built in 1916, I am sure there is some sort of historical reference, but nonetheless this penthouse sure does fit the bill for location uniqueness that I just had to share. This 6,813 square-foot residence has three bedrooms, 3 1/2 bathrooms and most impressively four 14-foot glass clock faces. All of which offer 360-degree panoramas, with views of the Brooklyn Bridge, the Manhattan Bridge and the East River. Major views girl here - so this makes me giddy! And after five and a half years on the market, starting at $25 million, reduced to $18 million it is now pending, so someone is finally going to enjoy those views! Can you believe it is only June, and Sherwin-Williams has already released their 2017 Color Palette?! I must say, this is one thing I do look forward to seeing every year, so I am super excited to share it with you! I won't go to much into the details, show your the colors or their inspiration that created them just yet, as I feel that it needs to be a little closer to 2017 to start looking at that! Until then, here are the rooms that were inspired with these palettes...just for a little teaser of what is to come in 2017! Until then, lets continue to take in everything 2016 is yet to give us! Cheers! - Sarah The last couple weeks have been a sleep deprived, coffee induced whirlwind between everyday life, traveling, work and trying to create this very overdue new website! It is still a work in progress, but definitely complete enough to make it live and share it with the world! My goal for this blog/journal is to bring you Inspiration, DIY Projects, Product Picks, Industry Trends, and well, anything else that I hope you will love and inspire you as well! So for this first entry, let me introduce myself, and tell you just a little about me. I am Colorado bred and Oregon adopted. Both places make my heart so happy, that well, I call myself a Colo-gonian (that might need some work), because I must claim them both as my home! No decision to be made there! I have an extensive list of loves and passions, starting with Jesus and my mister, Kevin. To which then extends to the rest of my sweet family, traveling, running, hiking (just imagine most outdoor activities, I won't bore you with that list), exploring Oregon's wineries, reading, football (Denver Broncos to be exact). And of course the obvious, interior design and architecture. Here is a little insider glimpse of me. Doing the things I love. With the ones I love. Cheers!
